Lester M. Gee, Founder & Licensed Funeral Director

Lester Gee is the founder of The Lester Gee Funeral Home. He is a former longtime resident of Bridgeport and New London Connecticut.

After finishing his enlistment in the United States Army, Lester attended and graduated from McAllister School of Embalming- Manhattan NY in 1963. He served his apprenticeship in Bridgeport and was licensed by the state of Connecticut in 1965 as an Embalmer and Funeral Director.

In 1971 Lester Gee opened the doors to his first funeral home in New London at 108 Blinman Street then his second in 1992 in Bridgeport at 1390 Fairfield Avenue.

Lester Gee is an active member of the community. He is an Elk, a mason and a member of the NAACP.  Although he is a longtime member of Shiloh Baptist Church of New London, he supports various churches in the New London and Bridgeport Area.

Lester Gee has been serving the community and its families during their time of need for over 40 years and firmly believes that his businesses are a blessing from God. He is grateful that he has been placed into a position to offer his services to those who need them.

Chris Gee, Licensed Funeral Director

Chris P. Gee is a 13 year Veteran of the United States Army and the nephew of Lester Gee. He is a resident of Bridgeport Connecticut.
After returning home from his duties with the United States Military, Chris discovered through his Uncle (Lester Gee) a desire to continue his efforts to help others in their time of need and become involved in the family business. Chris then attended and graduated Cum Laude from Lincoln College of New England in 2011 where he received his degree in Applied Sciences with a focus on Mortuary Science. Chris obtained his Funeral Directors License in 2012 after he completed his apprenticeship.  Aside from working at the Lester Gee Funeral Home with his Uncle, Chris works full time at the West Haven Veterans Hospital.
Once on a mission to serve his country, Chris now serves his community with love and compassion during their time of bereavement.
