Obituary for Pearl Oliver
Deaconess Pearl C. (Mack) Oliver of Norwich, wife of the late Roosevelt Oliver, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. She was born to the late Alice (Flippen) and Richard Mack, Sr. on February 2, 1937 in Willimantic.
In 1977, she started her career at the Franklin Mushroom Farm in Franklin and retired as a Supervisor in 2001. Deaconess Oliver became a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church of Willimantic, CT in the early 60’s. She sang in the Calvary Spiritual Singers group and served in various committees.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughters; Kelly Davis (Robert) and Robin Stewart of Norwich. Siblings; Robert Mack, Alice Harris (Stanley Sr.) and Brian Mack (Elaine). Grandchildren; Aleeya Stewart of Baltimore, MD., Jessica and LaTeisha Jackson of Norwich. Great-grandchildren Nakai Walton and Janiyah Jackson.
Besides her husband she is predeceased by a sister, Sally Halloway, and Richard Mack, Jr.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday at Cornerstone City Church, 248 Broadway Street, Norwich. Relatives and friends may visit from 10 A.M until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Norwich.
