Dear Friends and Family,
As we find ourselves entering a third year of the Covid-19 Global pandemic we remain encouraged that one day soon we will have the ability to join together in the presence of our loved ones, without restriction. Here at the Lester Gee Funeral Home, we understand how pertinent access to our support networks are and how vital of a role it plays. Even more so, in the midst of losing a loved one. With new information continuously evolving and Covid restrictions ever-changing, Our top priority will always remain that of service and safety. Our funeral home staff and family are dedicated to providing you and your loved ones with the utmost care, regardless of the world’s circumstances.
In conjunction with maintaining regularly scheduled cleaning and disinfecting of our locations, we will continue to serve our community around the clock; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Families will still have the ability to hold full funeral ceremonies, including viewing and visitation, despite cause of death. This does include loved ones lost to Covid. We remain confident in our ability to serve you safely and understand that the need to gather in remembrance of a loved one is an essential right and imperative to our healing process.
In accordance with the latest executive order issued by Governor Ned Lamont on May 19, 2021, Masks are no longer required outdoors. With the colder climate present, we are expected to see an increase of indoor service requests as opposed to outdoor private ceremonies. Masks are still required indoors for unvaccinated persons. Whenever possible, funeral services should be held at the gravesite. Proper social distance protocols (not less than 6 feet) shall be maintained at all times at wakes, funeral services and burials. In addition to the Executive Order, we ask for those who are not feeling well, are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, OR have been fully or potentially exposed to someone with COVID-19 that they do NOT attend in person services.
At-need and pre-need Funeral arrangement conferences will be limited to 4 people and masks will be required for entry into the funeral home at all times. In an effort to ease concerns, we are offering our families the choice to participate in virtual conferences and funeral ceremonies.
